On February 20, Promo Marketing reported that the U.S. Postal Service planned to launch an apparel line to boost funds. Isaac Crawford, chief executive officer of The Wahconah Group, the company that will be producing the apparel, said the line will be all-weather. “The products will build on the rich American history of this iconic brand, creating specialized apparel for consumers, at affordable prices, delivering something new and exciting that retailers can offer their customers,” he added. So what exactly will this all-weather, iconic, male-only (for the time being) line look like? Here are my guesses based on the “Rain Heat & Snow” name, complete with USPS text courtesy of Technologo virtual sampling. Comment below or email me if you have any other ideas.
RAIN
Rain Coats
Spring and summer bring rainstorms so USPS shoppers can sport a long raincoat like this one from Storm Duds.
Hats
Sometimes you need a little extra cranium protection in drizzly weather, which is where this cap comes in.
HEAT
Golf Shirts
What about warm weather, you say? How about this striped polo. It’s very American flag meets Caddyshack (in a good way).
Shorts
You’ll need something to pair that striped golf shirt with, so try these cargo shorts. You could even add an embroidered USPS belt for some extra logo love on the green.
SNOW
Pants
Perhaps it is the wintry mix in Philadelphia today, but pants just seem like a staple of USPS wear. They can be worn most of the year and in most of the country so a good pair of USPS slacks seems to be the way to go.
Winter Jackets
Trekking to work in the snow is tough without a jacket, whether you are mailman or an office worker. This might be a good choice for USPS wear because of its bright hue and sturdy, imprinted hood.
Sweatshirts
Sometimes jackets are not enough so you can layer with a sweatshirt.
